The NCASA Dance Ensemble Competition was one to remember. Dancers from Ballet 8 and Dance Majors 3 competed this past week and came away champions. Here is the full list of all awards won by these talented dancers.

*First place in Contemporary/Lyrical (Intentional Healing)
*Second place in Contemporary/Lyrical (Beautiful View)
*Best Male Dancer — Ethan Cayetano
*Best Female Dancer — Janiya Sanders
*Overall State Champion
*An invitation to perform at this year’s Scholastic Gala

Dancers and dance aficionados ages 11-111 are now able to register for the Ailey Weekend Experience! It will be held at NWSA Jan 27-28 and costs only $50 for 1 day and $80 for 2 days. Those who do two days are eligible for a scholarship to train at Ailey Aug 5-9th. Spread the word, and sign up today!

We’re excited to announce the return of NWSA Dance spirit wear with even more options than before and easy ordering! Our new online store features a much larger selection of items, styles, and colors – something for every dancer and just in time for the holidays.

You can choose to have your order delivered to school for student pick-up or shipped to home. Delivery to school is free, or if you would like your order shipped, a shipping charge based on weight will be added at check-out. Products should be delivered within two weeks of ordering.

A portion of each sale goes to the Dance Boosters, and we will be adding more selections over time.

Calling all creatives and small business owners! The NWSA Dance Booster is excited to host our second annual Winter Pop-up Market on Saturday, December 2, from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM, at Northwest School of the Arts.

Are you a local artist or crafter looking to showcase and sell your work? Do you own a small business that you’d like to market to the community? Our Winter Market is the place for you!

Our online application is open, and application fees support our dance department. Vendors keep all proceeds from sales, and admission is free for market guests! We are also excited to support our NWSA students who are artists or starting their own small businesses – NWSA students can apply here.
