Regional High School Dance Festival

March 21-24, 2019
The Governor’s School for the Arts, Norfolk, VA

This past March, we took a group of 9 students to the National High School Dance Festival at Point Park in Pittsburg, PA. Students spent their days taking master classes in ballet, modern, contemporary, tap, fan dancing, musical theater repertoire, and more. Students were also able to speak with professionals, college reps, networking with other high school students and seeing dance performances by world-renowned dance companies!

Each student that auditioned was offered several scholarships to summer intensives, college prep programs, and year-round dance programs.

With so much success, we are participating in this year’s Regional High School Dance Festival in Norfolk, VA.

This festival will have over 600 high schools from the East Coast participating in performances, workshops, lectures, and master classes. They will also have the opportunity to audition for college, university, and summer programs. They will attend special events, a college fair, and network with students and dance faculty.
